Linda Bridges is a Colorado Springs–based writer, artist, and children’s book illustrator whose work captures the quiet beauty of life and nature. She first began painting in oils, creating a number of fine pieces in the 1980s and 1990s before moving to Southeast Asia with her husband from 2004–2010.
After retiring at age 63, Linda returned to her paints and rediscovered her love for creativity—this time combining her art and writing to illustrate two children’s books. Since 2017, she has expanded into soft pastels, oils, and acrylics, exploring the nuances of each medium. Her work reflects warmth, storytelling, and a deep appreciation for color and texture.
Linda is a self-motivated learner who continues to study and experiment with new techniques and materials. Her originals, Giclée prints, and fine art cards are available on Etsy and through her online gallery.
You can find Linda’s artwork on display at Academy Art & Frame Company, as well as at Katie’s 5280 Pure Hair Salon (2121 N Weber St, Old North End) and local art exhibitions throughout the region.
