Joe Beavers grew up as an army brat born in Fukuoka, Japan and lived in many different states and Europe. While studying art at Kansas University he married his high school sweet heart, Carolyn Smith. Joe began his career in the auto business and his tenure has inspired many of his artwork he has created.
Many of Joe’s artwork comes from the memories he has built with his family of 3 children, 7 grandchildren, and his loving dogs. Joe currently lives in Colorado and time and time again he has captured the true beauty of the nature and trees within his artwork.
Joe’s creativity and art come to life in his home studio, where he uses various colors, materials, and lighting to provide an experience around each piece of art.
Joe’s work will be on display from Jan. 1-31, 2017. You can meet the artist at our 3rd Friday Artists Reception on January 20th from 4-8 pm . Light snacks and drinks will be available. One unique aspect to Joe’s work is that much of it is black light reflective, so for the reception we will have the front gallery lights off.
