FULL STEAM AHEAD
3D SCULPTURES BY GARY WESTON
Join artist Gary Weston and the staff at Academy Art & Frame Company for our October exhibit, “Full Steam Ahead.”
This Arts Month exhibit is a fundraiser to support non profit Blue Star Recycling, an organization that Gary often gets his materials from for his work.
The show will include 3-D pieces in the many forms of steampunk art as well as art which depicts what the Victorian era people thought the future might look like in the form of machines, transportation, inventions and weapons. The artist and Academy Art & Frame Company will both donate 10 percent of their proceeds to benefit Blue Star Recycling.
The exhibit will display October 2-31 with an artists reception on October 20 4-8 p.m. If you come in steam punk or Victorian style costume and make a purchase, AAFC will donate an additional 5 percent to Blue Star Recycling.
And as a special treat, the Coronado High School’s Robotics Team will be in attendance with some of their fantastic robots!
