Jo Noon is a creator of realistic acrylic renditions of nature, wildlife, birds and portraits of pets as well as surrealistic paintings of mythological figures, painted on canvas, board and piano benches. Her lifelike paintings beautifully capture the nature of her subjects and draw you into the details. Artist Bio~ Jo Noon

Jo Noon, born 1949, is a self-taught, American artist and crafter who has enjoyed creating since she was a child.

Born in a suburb of Boston, she was influenced by the different cultures in the area. Her Greek father exposed her to art and mythology, and their hikes together in Massachusetts and New Hampshire inspired her love of nature and wildlife.

In her small, home studio, in central Colorado, Jo paints with acrylics on canvas, wood, and furniture. Her work focuses on realistic renditions of nature, wildlife, birds and portraits of pets as well as surrealistic paintings of mythological figures. On her crafting side, she creates live-edge wood wall-racks for coats, cups, keys and dog leashes that are adorned with wildlife or pet portraits. She is available for commission work.

“I love the detail of nature such as the iridescence of bird feathers or the light in a creature’s eyes. It draws me in, my mind stops thinking, and I am lost in my own world.”
