Mary has been creating art her entire life. Horses have been her passion and with her first horse of her own at age 14 she was taught everything she needed to know about horses by him, Rex. Her first piece of art was sold when she was in the eighth grade. She grew up on a horse or in a tree and art has been with her the entire time.
After many trials and tribulations in her lifetime she left a ranch from a long marriage where she was raising cattle for 25 years. This cowgirl artist painted and had a gallery on the ranch and learned how to work with the public over those years. She traveled and opened a gallery in Truth or Consequences New Mexico where she learned to have a sidewalk business. It was time to move back to Colorado after being gone for about five years painting in the desert and had a gallery in Evergreen Colorado. Now she is plein air painting and selling her work online or by special invitation to her studio.
Mary is an eclectic artist painting in all media, styles and sizes. She paints in the studio or on location daily. Her Impressionism paintings have sold all over the world. Her realism art has been recognized over the past twenty years by entering the prestigious Federal Duck Stamp competition where she has placed as close as fifth place and has traveled with the top twenty national tour various times over the years.
For three years she painted sponsor print art for Colorado Ducks Unlimited. A collection of these works can be seen and purchased in her gallery. The gallery houses many originals and creative art gifts made by Mary.
