An exhibit featuring artists Bill Young, Craig Cantrell and Cas Foste designed to bring the discussion of homelessness to the forefront of public discussion. This is also our October Benefit show and 20% of proceeds from the exhibit will go to Urban Peak, an organization “SERVING YOUTH EXPERIENCING HOMELESSNESS IN THE DENVER METROPOLITAN AREA AND COLORADO SPRINGS”. On the night of the reception look for other artworks in the gallery that will also donate to benefit Urban Peak. The art exhibit is on display until October 31st.
A forum. A show. A talk.
We have three events open to the public to talk about the issues of homelessness and the need to make changes in our community to address homelessness in a positive way.
1. Homeless forum October 10th from 4 PM to 6 PM we will have an open forum to talk about the issues of homelessness and what we can do to make things better in the Pikes Peak Region. We will be meeting at
Pikes Peak Library District – Library 21c, 1175 Chapel Hills Dr, Colorado Springs, CO 80920.
This event is free and open to the public, please bring great ideas and a desire to make change for the better.
2. 3rd Friday Reception for art exhibit October 19th from 4PM to 8 PM at Academy Art & Frame, 7560 N. Academy Blvd, Colorado Springs, CO 80920.
We will have art on display, snacks to eat, and good people to chat with.
A portion of sales from the show go to Urban Peak.
This event is free but, the purchase of art, and donations to the organizations on hand are appreciated!
3. Artist Talk about Homelessness in the Pikes Peak Region and about the show on display.
We will meet on October 26th starting at 6 PM at Academy Art & Frame.
