Get ready for 1st Friday Virtual Gallery, Acrylic Pours and new Featured Artist

Last weeks video was a Welcome to Academy Art & Frame Co. and curator Cas Foste gave a quick tour of the gallery and frame shop. Then check back on Friday 5/29 because Sheary Clough Suiter is our next Featured AAFC Artist. Sheary is an Encaustic painter (she paints with hot wax!) and creates beautiful unique abstracts. The visual depth that is created with the layers of wax and texturing keep the eyes moving through her work.
Don’t forget! This Saturday and next Monday, 5/30 and 6/1, are our first classes since the beginning of the pandemic.
If you’re ready to get out and do some painting be sure to sign up now! Contact Linda ASAP as we are limiting this class to 8 people. We ask that masks be worn during the class and tables will be spaced so each student is 6 feet from their neighbor in observance of social distancing. For our June exhibit, which is a duo show of work from Linda Bridges and Cas Foste, in conjunction with our normal 3rd Friday Reception we will be hosting a Virtual 1st Friday through Peak Radar. We’ll have all the information and video link in next Tuesdays blog, so put it on your calendar. We don’t want you to miss this premier AAFC event. Our 3rd Friday Reception is going to be a bit different also, but more on that later!
