Linda Bridges and Cas Foste are presenting a duo exhibit of embellished liquid acrylic pours. Linda is a children’s book author and illustrator, art instructor, and water-colorist. Cas works mostly in photography but loves multimedia with her photography, and she has worked in printmaking and dabbled in stained glass.
Friday, June 5th, starting at 5 p.m. AAFC will host a Live Video Viewing (here’s the video invite!) on YouTube for the Virtual First Friday organized by Peak Radar and the Downtown Partnership in Colorado Springs, CO. During the Live Viewing, Cas will give a walk through tour of the art on display and in the consignment gallery. Linda will be doing a demonstration of the liquid acrylic pour process. For our 3rd Friday Reception we are doing things a little different. On June 19th, from 4-8 p.m. we will have guided or individualized tours of the gallery to limit the number of patrons in the gallery at one time. But to keep every one entertained while maintaining social distancing, we will have art displays and art demos in the parking lot. Linda will be doing a liquid acrylic pour demo and we will have a spray paint artist demoing also. We will also have photographers and other artists setting up tables and displaying their works. May is Military Appreciation Month and we normally have an exhibit in support of our military. Since we missed this year due to Covid, we will have a table display for military appreciation. And from that organizer, if any military personnel with valid I.D. make a purchase at AAFC during the reception they will get a free book. These 3rd Friday Reception Parking Lot Parties will be held throughout the summer…unless restricted!
